They say black people can’t act
I could never take that as a fact
We are getting educated
And as a whole a little bit more elevated
But at the same time
We are still crying
Crying because our people are out here dying
We look suspicious
No matter how ambitious we are
We can’t drive nice cars
Or we’d end up behind bars
We can’t walk the streets
Or we’d end up not seeing next week
We can’t even sleep in bed
Because then, then we’d end up dead
Black people don’t know how to act?
That statement is not a fact
We are just incapable of gaining acceptance
Society would rather disrespect and neglect us
They tell us to go back to Africa
Then turn right around and laugh at us
We didn’t ask to be here
We were forced to shed these tears
This is now our home
This is all we have known
Stop Killing Us
Before this black race turns to dust
