My son why do you forsake me?
Did I not bear the weight of your sins?
Why then does your light continue to grow dim?
My love for you continues to grow,
But yet your contempt for me continues to show.
Did I not give you wealth?
Why then does your health diminish,
Like your heart is tired and finished.
My son why have you forsaken me?
The things of this world will drain your soul,
And in the end you’ll see you have nothing to gain.
I gave you a Proverbs wife,
So why do you continue to strife?
I have blessed you abundantly,
So why do you continue to fail tremendously?
My love for you continues to grow,
But yet your contempt for me continues to show.
My son do not forsake me?
Did you forget I am king?
You will be brought low,
And I will diminish your glow.
You wealth will be taken,
And you will see how it feels to be forsaken.
My son forsake me no more,
And you will not know this gore.
Humble thyself, ask and you will be forgiven.
For my son I will always love you,
And that statement is surely true.
